Samona Bed & Breakfast - Kilkeel

The incredible warmth and hospitality of the owners Sam and Fiona! After 14 days of North Ireland round trip..which also meant the end of our trip, we arrived in Kilkeel and felt comfortable immediately. Surroundings. Great hikes. Super great accommodation, warm, very cosy ambiance, traditional irish breakfast of very good quality! Great recommendations. We thank Sam and Fiona from the bottom of our hearts for everything! It was a mega beautiful great end of our trip!

Possibly the best and fantastic stay for 1 night. Absolutely gorgeous and immaculate room with stunning views and with a lot of space. Honestly nothing too much trouble.

Location: the hotel was close to the mountains and the area, the mountains on the other, and areas for reading, tea-making, vanity unit. Very amiable and lovely staff who were always there to help.

The setting was a bit hard to find.

The breakfast was really great. The room is simply magnificent and very spacious with sea views. A nice common room/breakfast room under the roof. Very friendly, helpful and staff. Would love to come back!

great access to parks and scenic walks nearby

We stayed here for three nights and found it so easy to explore nearby Silent Valley Mountain Park and enjoy the fine views from the Double Room with Mountain View, making our weekend strolls amazing.

The views were fine, even with inclement weather, and the room was impeccably clean and spacious, designed with comfort in mind. The breakfast selection was good, offering fresh, organic options that tasted fantastic. The hosts were cute and provided valuable tips about the local area. The location may be a bit isolated for those looking for more immediate access to local attractions, and parking could get crowded during peak times.

The room was spotless and came with lovely coffee and tea. The bed was super comfy. I really enjoyed lounging by the sun terrace and relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long day. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times, but it didn't really take away from the experience. 😊

Amazing, amazing, amazing.

The views from our room were amazing, with a perfect panorama of the Mourne Mountains and the Irish Sea. Every morning started with a delicious, locally-sourced breakfast. Fiona and Sam, the hosts, provided really good hospitality, even securing us dinner reservations when we thought we had none!

Couples seeking a special retreat

The hosts were amazing! They secured us a last-minute dinner when we thought we couldn't get one anywhere. The views from our room overlooking the mountains, it seemed like we were living in a painting, you know? Just amazing.

Sure, it wasn't exactly cheap but honestly, for what you get, it's more than acceptable.
